I want my valedictory speech too.

You know, i used to be that snotty kid at the back of the class back in 2007 counting down the minutes to the end of the lesson. While most of me still remains the same, i have met alot of people along the way; mostly went away with only few constants that mattered.

These people didn't change me. They refined my views and made me believe that my opinion is valuable and valid. They picked me up, gave me that pat down and told me they believe me. That i mattered.

A long time ago in 2001, my malay language teacher, cikgu norlinshah taught us a lesson just a couple of days before PSLE. A lesson that's more poignant now than it was eleven years ago. That whatever you chose to do, you have to be the best there is. That if you grow carrots for a living, be the best carrot farmer the world ever seen. You get the point.

And yesterday, "best overall trainee" printed on an award was handed to me in front of these few people that mattered.

So thank you.
Thank you fortitude.
Thank you mum.

I love you all.
